KMD and SAP

In 2005 KMD and the global IT Company SAP entered into a strategic partnership.
The aim of the partnership is to develop a new generation of effective IT solutions to manage digital citizenship.

SAP is the developer of the world’s most recognised platform for standardised IT solutions KMD has more than 30 years of unique knowledge managing digital solutions in public service The aspiration is that KMD and SAP in union will be able to combine the best of two worlds and create a standardised system to handle legislative heavy areas such as public administration and service.

For KMD this means that all future software will be based on the SAP platform and at the same time herald the next generation in IT management.

For Denmark, as a country, this means that an effective and standardised IT platform tailored for the future is well within reach. It also means that important and unique knowhow stays within the national boundaries and hence allow Denmark to stay in the position as one of the global leaders in e-government initiatives.
